A polar airmass will invade the region by Thursday night and linger into the Christmas weekend. This airmass will be bitterly cold, with low temperatures in the teens to lower the 20s for a prolonged period. This will create hard freeze conditions.

Today, Mostly cloudy and on the cool side. High temperatures in the mid-50s. Winds will be variable at 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight, Mostly cloudy and seasonably cool. Low temperatures will be in the lower to mid-40s, except near 50 along the coast. Winds will be light and variable.
