Bogalusa, LA (12/10/2022) – According to Bogalusa Police Department (BPD), one 15-year-old was killed, and two 14-year-olds were injured at a birthday party in Bogalusa, Louisiana. The incident occurred in the 800 Block of Warren Street at 9:40 pm on Friday, December 09, 2022.
Upon arrival, BPD Officers determined that a large group of individuals was gathered for a birthday party when shots rang out, and police were called. Officers located one subject on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers also located a second victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper leg. Both victims were turned over to the Bogalusa Fire Department and EMS personnel upon arrival.
Officers then attempted to secure the scene and locate witnesses. There was still a huge crowd of people in the area. Officers then learned that a third victim had been transported to the Emergency Room by a vehicle.
At this time, one of the victims, a 15-year-old B/M, has succumbed to his injuries. One victim is still being treated in a local hospital (14-year-old B/M), and the other (14-year-old B/M) has been released.
This is an ongoing investigation, and Officers are working to solve this tragic incident.
