Shreveport, La. (12/5/2022) – According to Shreveport Police Department (SPD), on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 3:48 pm, SPD Officers responded to a shooting of a 12-year-old boy.
SPD Officers located a 12-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the arm/hand area. The child was transported to a local hospital by SFD Medic to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
SPD believes two children were playing with a gun when it accidentally discharged, striking the 12-year-old boy. SPD says the other child fled the scene before they arrived.
No further information is known at this time.
