Suspects connected to the South Traffic Circle Incident wanted by APD

Alexandria, La. ( 11/27/2022) – Alexandria Police Department (APD) is seeking public assistance in identifying and locating three individuals suspected of shoplifting connected with the South Traffic Circle Incident.

The suspects are wanted in connection to the manhunt that occurred Saturday, November 26, 2022, in the South Traffic Circle.

APD said an officer was working security at a store in the mall.  When APD attempted to arrest the male suspect of shoplifting, he fled.

The male suspect then ran on foot into the South Traffic Circle swamp area.  The police officer said he heard two rounds fired. He stopped the pursuit and called for backup. 

APD and other law enforcement agencies surrounded the perimeter of the traffic circle and tried to find the suspect on foot, by drone, and by helicopter but were unsuccessful.
