Today we highlight Erica Green. Erica is a 31-year-old mother of two. Life circumstances affect us all, and Erica was no different. At 18, Erica forced to make a decision many of us had to make. Continue with high school or get a job and provide for your baby. Erica made the decision that seemed like a no-brainer and chose to provide for her child. But Erica knew she wanted more in life.
She knew that to take that step, she had to go back and finish high school. But how would that work? She was the mother of a 13-year-old and a newborn and did not have the time or financial freedom not to work and go back and finish school. But she knew she had to do it.
The same motivation that she said caused her to drop out of high school to become a mother was now the same reason she returned. With the help of a strong family and friends’ support system, Erica sat out on her journey.
In nine months, Erica accomplished something that she said was “life-changing.” With the successful completion of the HiSET, Erica immediately got rid of her role as a manager in fast food and is now a supervisor in a retail setting. Better Pay, Better Job, and better life!
Erica’s advice for anybody on the fence about CLTCC and the HiSET is simple.”Get enrolled” She said the people at CLTCC really wanted her to be successful! Erica said this was a major accomplishment for her in life and her family as well. She wants anyone who is in her same shoes to know you can get it done.
You can change your future and your family’s future. CLTCC is the way. Get out and enroll. You, too, can become “Happy with My HiSET.”
