ALEXANDRIA, La. (UrbanCast: 10/9/2026) — Mid-State Supply, a Crest Industries company with nearly 70 years of history in Central Louisiana, has expanded its operations into the Baton Rouge area.
The company announced Thursday, October 8, the opening of a new 10,500-square-foot warehouse in Geismar, Louisiana, located in Ascension Parish.
The expansion responds to customer demand for locally available electrical and industrial supplies. It also strengthens the company’s ability to serve customers across a larger portion of Louisiana.
New Warehouse Brings Products Closer to Customers
Located at 36585 Lyle Drive in Geismar, the warehouse will support same-day and urgent deliveries, along with local pickup services.
Additionally, the facility will create opportunities for customers to connect directly with suppliers and tool manufacturers through product demonstrations and hands-on learning.
“When a customer needs a part to keep a crew working, the distance between that customer and our inventory matters,” said Dixie Mulhearn, business development manager at Mid-State Supply.
Mulhearn explained that the new location gives customers greater flexibility in obtaining the supplies they need.
Expansion Builds on Nearly 70 Years of Central Louisiana History
Mid-State Supply’s history began in 1958 when Tucker Robison started selling electrical supplies from the trunk of his car.
The company eventually grew into the founding business of Crest Industries.
Over the decades, Mid-State Supply has continued expanding its products, services and customer support while maintaining its Central Louisiana foundation.
Kenny Robison, owner and CEO of Crest Industries, said the new warehouse reflects the company’s commitment to supporting Louisiana’s expanding industrial economy.
“Louisiana is seeing a boom in industrial growth and business expansion,” Robison said.
He explained that the Geismar location will help Mid-State Supply provide reliable, locally available solutions while supporting business growth throughout the Capital Region.
Alexandria Team Will Support Geismar Operations
The expansion includes two new team members dedicated to the Geismar warehouse.
According to Robison, the new location will also receive support from the company’s existing Alexandria team.
The arrangement builds on Mid-State Supply’s Central Louisiana foundation while extending its ability to serve customers across a larger part of the state.
