SIMMESPORT, La. — Simmesport police arrested a 34-year-old man following two reported incidents at the same local business.
The Simmesport Police Department identified the man as Deundra Davis, 34.
Police said the first incident happened September 18. Davis allegedly entered the business and began using profanity while making threats toward staff members.
According to police, the business captured the incident on its surveillance system. Employees contacted law enforcement and instructed Davis to leave.
Staff also told Davis he was no longer permitted on the property. However, police said he left before officers arrived.
Investigators later reviewed the available evidence. Police then obtained an arrest warrant for disturbing the peace and simple assault.
According to SPD, Davis returned to the same business on September 29 despite previously being forbidden from the property. Employees reported he again engaged in similar behavior.
However, an officer entered the business to make a purchase before employees could contact law enforcement.
Employees identified Davis to the officer. Police said the officer then took Davis into custody without further incident.
Davis was arrested on the outstanding warrant and charges connected to the September 29 incident.
The charges include disturbing the peace, simple assault and remaining on property after being forbidden. The outstanding warrant also involved disturbing the peace and simple assault.
Police announced the arrest Tuesday. No additional information about the reported incidents was immediately released.
