Louisiana Central Launches Free Small Business Coaching Program Across 10 Central Louisiana Parishes

ALEXANDRIA, La. (UrbanCast: 7/23/2026) – Small business owners across Central Louisiana have a new opportunity to strengthen and grow their businesses through a free coaching program offered by Louisiana Central Regional Economic Development and Louisiana Economic Development.

The Small Business Opportunity Program provides free one-on-one business coaching and capital readiness support to eligible businesses in participating rural parishes. The program serves entrepreneurs who are just starting out, expanding an existing business, or preparing to pursue funding.

Participants receive individualized guidance based on their business goals. Coaches help business owners develop business plans, connect with funding resources, strengthen marketing efforts, and improve day-to-day operations.

The program targets businesses that employ nine or fewer people and are owned by Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individuals (SEDI). Businesses should also demonstrate a desire to grow and prepare for future funding opportunities.

Eligible businesses must operate in Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Vernon, or Winn parishes.

According to program information, each participant works directly with a Technical Assistance Provider. Together, they identify opportunities, address challenges, and build a strategy for long-term success.

Business owners can begin the application process by visiting https://flowcode.com/p/eMRLhQ5Tb1 or by calling 318-441-3400 and selecting Option 7. After completing the application, applicants should submit it by email using the instructions provided on the form. Program officials say applicants can expect a response within five business days.

Louisiana Central and Louisiana Economic Development encourage eligible business owners to take advantage of the free resource and prepare their businesses for future growth.
