Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office Reports Felony Arrests for June 8-14

DERIDDER, La. (UrbanCast: 6/15/2026) — Sheriff Mark Herford announced two felony arrests made by the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office during the week of June 8 through June 14.

According to the sheriff, deputies arrested Thomas Gillies on June 11. Authorities charged Gillies with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance Schedule II and Contraband Relative to Penal Institutions. Deputies booked him into the Beauregard Parish Jail. No bond had been set as of the report.

The following day, deputies arrested Kristen Benson. Authorities charged Benson with Illegal Use of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in the Presence of a Minor, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance Schedule II, and Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Deputies booked Benson into the Beauregard Parish Jail. Bond remained to be set at the time of the report.

Sheriff Herford released the arrests as part of the department’s weekly felony arrest report. The Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office continues to work with prosecutors as these cases move through the judicial process.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
