ALEXANDRIA, La. (5/30/2026) — Multiple law enforcement units were observed Saturday in the Martin Park neighborhood, prompting concern and questions from residents.
UrbanCast began receiving reports around 12:36 p.m. of a significant police presence in the Lisa Street area. Images and video submitted by residents show numerous Alexandria Police Department vehicles gathered in the neighborhood.
At the time of publication, officials had not publicly released information regarding the nature of the incident.
The Martin Park police presence quickly became a topic of discussion among residents, with several individuals contacting UrbanCast seeking information about what was occurring and whether there was any ongoing threat to public safety.
UrbanCast has reached out to City of Alexandria officials, including Chief Administrative Officer Michael Caffery, requesting additional information regarding the incident, including whether any arrests were made and if residents should expect a continued law enforcement presence in the area.
