Central Louisiana (5/26/2026) – Summer break should not mean a break from good meals.
The Food Bank of Central Louisiana announced free summer meal sites for children and teens across several Central Louisiana parishes. The program will provide meals throughout the summer at libraries, churches, community centers, camps, and youth organizations.
The Food Bank said many children lose access to dependable meals when school ends. Therefore, the organization works to connect families with meals in familiar community locations during the summer months.
Importantly, meals are free for children and teens. Congregate meal sites require meals to be eaten on-site. Non-congregate locations will distribute grab-and-go meals.
