Lafayette Parish, La. (3/16/2026) — Authorities are investigating a deadly Lafayette Parish shooting that left three people dead Sunday near Youngsville.
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting in the 500 block of Braxton Guillot Village. Deputies arrived at the residence shortly afterward.
Inside the home, deputies discovered three victims. The victims included an adult man, an adult woman, and a 6-year-old boy.
Emergency responders pronounced all three victims dead at the scene, according to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators have not released the identities of the victims. In addition, authorities have not shared further details about what led to the shooting.
However, detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities say the investigation remains active.
Meanwhile, officials are asking the public for assistance as they work to gather more information.
