Monroe Teen Ryan Gray Killed in Robinson Place Neighborhood Shooting

Monroe, La. (12/28/2025) — A Monroe neighborhood shooting has left a family grieving after a teenager died from gunshot wounds in Robinson Place.

Monroe Police Department officers responded to the 5500 block of Long Drive on December 28, 2025. Police received the call at approximately 3 a.m.

Officers found two 17-year-old males suffering from gunshot wounds when they arrived. Emergency crews transported both victims to area hospitals.

Later, one victim died from his injuries. Police identified him as Ryan Gray, age 17. Gray would have turned 18 next month.

The second victim survived and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not released additional medical details.

Following Ryan’s death, his mother shared a heartbreaking message on social media.

“Forever 17! Yall took my baby from me, my only son! Yall killed him!!” she wrote.

“I love you so much Ryan Gray! It was always us, me you and Ray Randolph.”

As of Sunday night, police had not made any arrests. Officers continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
