Alexandria, LA (11/10/2025) – UrbanCast received multiple reports on Saturday, November 8, of a large Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office (RPSO) presence in the Kellyland area near the outskirts of Alexandria.
The Rapides Parish Coroner’s Office later confirmed it responded to the death of a 33-year-old male from a gunshot wound in the 1800 block of Henry Street.
The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, officials said. An autopsy is pending, and the case remains under active investigation by both the Rapides Parish Coroner’s Office and the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Department.
Although the motive has not been determined, the Sheriff’s Department stated that there is no threat to public safety related to the incident. Any further details from the weekend’s investigations may be released on Monday, depending on the progress of ongoing inquiries.
