ALEXANDRIA, La. (11/9/2025) — The energy was undeniable Saturday at Frank O. Hunter Athletic Field as the Cenla City Starswrapped up an exciting regular season of youth football. Families, fans, and players filled the stands for a full day of competitive games that showcased heart, skill, and community pride.
The morning kicked off with the 10U Jaguars dominating the Underdawgz in a 30 to 6 win. Their confidence set a strong tone for the day. Soon after, the Cenla Tigers continued their undefeated run with a 27 to 14 victory over Natchitoches, thrilling supporters in the stands.
As the temperature rose, so did the competition. In the 8U division, Mean Green edged out the Jaguars 14 to 8 in a close contest that displayed impressive fundamentals and teamwork. Wrapping up the day, Avoyelles powered past the 12U Jaguars 34 to 0, sealing their spot in the postseason picture.
Throughout the afternoon, cheering crowds reminded everyone that youth football in Central Louisiana is about more than just wins and losses. It is about building character, unity, and confidence in every young athlete.
