According to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, calls to the Communications Center began shortly before 1 a.m. on October 12, 2025, reporting gunfire during a crowded event at the local bar. Deputies arrived to find hundreds of people fleeing the area, with several victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Chaos as Victims Flee for Safety
When deputies reached the scene, they encountered a large, chaotic crowd as people sought shelter in nearby businesses and properties. Witnesses described the scene as panic-filled, with gunfire sending people running in every direction.
Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported multiple victims to area hospitals, while others arrived at medical facilities on their own seeking treatment for gunshot injuries.
Four Victims Pronounced Dead, Others in Critical Condition
Officials confirmed that four people were pronounced dead at the scene. At least four others were transported in critical condition, and several additional victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
