Alexandria, La. (9/13/2025) – Alexandria Police have confirmed a shooting occurred Friday evening around 6:50 p.m. at the Chevron gas station located at the corner of Fenner and Mason streets. One person was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The gunfire erupted in broad daylight during the evening commute at one of Alexandria’s busiest intersections. Drivers sitting at red lights and families passing through the area were suddenly confronted with a frightening scene.
UrbanCast first reported the incident on Friday evening, when multiple people at the scene said at least one person appeared to have been shot near the Chevron. Police, fire, and EMS responded in force, with officers seen searching the grass lot in front of the station.
One witness described the moment as terrifying: “Two shots went off. One male took off and the other grabbed his phone and was hopping around. I don’t know if it came from the guy that ran off or the vehicle that was across the street. We were sitting at the light in front of the firehouse. It was scary,” she said.
Police have not released any information about a suspect, motive, or whether anyone is in custody.
