OAKDALE, La. (7/17/2025) – The Louisiana State Police (LSP) announced Thursday the arrest of Alison Doyle, wife of former Oakdale Police Chief Chad Doyle, following an investigation into alleged misconduct in the municipal property bidding process.
Doyle, 50, a former Oakdale city employee, is accused of conspiring with Oakdale businessman Chandrakant “LaLa” Patel to manipulate the bidding process for two city-owned properties.
The LSP Criminal Intelligence Unit – Alexandria Field Office (CIU-AFO) launched the investigation after receiving credible information about unethical practices. Investigators reviewed the evidence and determined there was sufficient cause to file charges.
As a result, Alison Doyle was arrested and charged with two felony counts of malfeasance in office. She was processed at the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail.
In a statement, Louisiana State Police reaffirmed their commitment to integrity and accountability in public service and thanked local officials and community members for their cooperation during the investigation.
The investigation into Alison Doyle appears separate but comes amid heightened scrutiny in Oakdale, where her husband, Chad Doyle, was recently indicted in a federal visa fraud and bribery scheme along with three other law enforcement officers and a local businessman.
Anyone with additional information related to Alison Doyle’s case is encouraged to contact CIU-AFO at (504) 858-9480 or report anonymously via the LSP online reporting system at lsp.org.
