Alexandria, La. (UrbanCast: 9/8/2026) – A 16-year-old juvenile was injured after a police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle ended in an Alexandria crash Monday evening.
The Alexandria Police Department said officers located the vehicle around 7:10 p.m. Monday, September 7.
Authorities in Montgomery County, Texas, had reported the vehicle stolen. Law enforcement had also issued a BOLO for the vehicle.
According to APD, officers spotted the vehicle while patrolling Alexandria and attempted a traffic stop.
However, police said the driver refused to stop. A brief pursuit followed.
The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed near Coliseum Boulevard and MacArthur Drive.
UrbanCast received multiple reports of a high-speed chase and crash around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Those reports placed the crash along the North MacArthur Drive service road near the LA 28 West intersection.
Photos submitted to UrbanCast showed a heavily damaged vehicle and a significant law enforcement presence at the scene.
APD later identified the driver as a 16-year-old juvenile.
Police said the teenager suffered injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
No officers or members of the public were injured, according to APD.
Police have not released additional information about the juvenile’s injuries or potential charges.
The investigation remains ongoing.
