Alexandria, LA (7/12/2025) – On Saturday, July 12, 2025, at approximately 3:30 PM, Alexandria Police responded to reports of shots fired at the South Traffic Circle, a heavily traveled area surrounded by popular businesses like Chili’s, Albertsons, and several other shopping destinations.
Police say someone in one vehicle fired at another while driving through the circle. An innocent motorist’s car was struck in the gunfire. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
So far, the suspect vehicle has only been described as a blue Chevrolet Malibu. No further details have been shared about the suspects, how the incident unfolded, or whether there is an ongoing threat to the public.
This shooting happened in broad daylight in one of Alexandria’s busiest commercial zones. For many residents, the lack of detailed information has raised concerns about public safety and whether more should be done to alert the community when incidents like this occur.
