ALEXANDRIA, La. (7/10/2025) – Alexandria Police Department confirmed an attempted robbery at Chase Bank on Memorial Drive Thursday morning, marking the second robbery-related incident at this location in less than three years.
According to APD, the incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. in the 2200 block of Memorial Drive. An ATM repairman was servicing a drive-thru ATM when two suspects wearing masks approached and attempted to rob him. Police say neither suspect displayed a weapon during the encounter, and no cash was taken from the repairman or the ATM.
Officers and detectives responded to the scene, securing the drive-thru area with yellow police tape as they investigated around a light-colored vehicle parked under the canopy. Several marked and unmarked police units were present as investigators worked the scene.
This attempted robbery comes after a previous robbery at the same Chase Bank in October 2022. In that incident, APD arrested Mark Anthony Trevino, 50, of Balch Springs, Texas, for first-degree robbery after he fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. Trevino, who had a prior bank robbery conviction, was later connected to other robberies in multiple jurisdictions.
