PINEVILLE, La. (7/7/2025) – The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Pineville man in connection with an alleged sexual assault that took place in May.
According to officials, on May 19, 2025, Sheriff’s Detectives responded to a local hospital after receiving a report of criminal sexual conduct. The victim alleged they were sexually assaulted while staying as a guest at the suspect’s residence in the Pineville area.
Through their investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Dakota L. Duncan, 29, of Pineville. Detectives determined there was sufficient probable cause to support the victim’s allegations and obtained an arrest warrant for Duncan on the charge of third degree rape.
On June 11, 2025, Duncan was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center and released the following day after posting a $75,000 bond.
