Alexandria, LA (7/6/2025) – The Alexandria Police Department has made an arrest following a shooting incident late Thursday night.
On June 26, 2025, at approximately 10:30 PM, officers responded to reports of gunfire inside a convenience store located in the 3700 block of 3rd Street. Upon arrival, authorities were able to locate and arrest the suspect, identified as 48-year-old Glendell Wesley.
Wesley now faces multiple charges, including attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, negligent carry of a concealed handgun, possession of Schedule II controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm with drugs, and resisting an officer.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
The case remains under active investigation.
