NATCHITOCHES, La. (July 6, 2025) – The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Sunday morning on Keyser Avenue.
At approximately 1:41 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 300 block of Keyser Avenue. Deputies from the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police troopers also assisted at the scene.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered six victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately rendered aid while additional first responders arrived.
One Dead, Five Hospitalized
One victim, identified as Latravion Stallworth, 18, of Natchitoches, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s Office.
The five other victims were transported to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. Three of those victims were treated and released earlier this morning. The remaining two victims were transferred to hospitals in Caddo and Rapides Parishes. Both are listed in stable condition.
Investigation Underway
Investigators canvassed the crime scene, spoke with witnesses, and collected numerous pieces of evidence for crime lab analysis. Authorities continue to work actively on the case.
