Normand Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography and Bestiality Material

SABINE PARISH, LA (6/25/2025) — On June 20, 2025, Sabine Parish Sheriff Aaron Mitchell announced the arrest of Yancy Elie Normand, 52, of Noble, following a disturbing investigation into child exploitation.

The arrest stemmed from a tip received by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which alleged Normand had forced another individual to view child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The tip was funneled through the Louisiana ICAC Task Force, a statewide initiative led by Attorney General Liz Murrill.

In response, detectives with the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for Normand’s residence. During the search, authorities seized multiple electronic devices, along with two hand-crafted sex dolls designed to resemble juvenile females.

Subsequent forensic analysis of the devices uncovered over 200 illegal files, including both child pornography and content involving bestiality.

As a result, Normand was booked into the Sabine Parish Detention Center and charged with the following:

  • 2 counts of Possessing a Child Sex Doll (LRS 14:81.6)
  • 2 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles (LRS 14:81.1)
  • 77 additional counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles (LRS 14:81.1)
  • 157 counts of Sexual Abuse of an Animal (LRS 14:89.3A(7))

His bond was set at $1.3 million, and he remains in custody as of this report.

Sheriff Mitchell emphasized the importance of public tips in identifying predators. “Every tip matters,” he said. “We will aggressively pursue anyone involved in the exploitation of children.”

This investigation is ongoing, and more charges may be pending.
