Alexandria, LA (June 18, 2025) – A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with the attempted armed robbery of a Family Dollar store on Bolton Avenue in Alexandria, Louisiana.
The incident occurred on the evening of Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at approximately 9:50 PM. Officers with the Alexandria Police Department (APD) responded to reports of an attempted robbery in the 200 block of Bolton Avenue. During the incident, the store clerk discharged several rounds from a firearm, prompting the suspect to flee the scene. No injuries were reported.
Charges
After an investigation and assistance from the public, APD announced the arrest of the juvenile suspect on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. The individual was charged with:
• One count of armed robbery
• One count of juvenile in possession of a handgun
• One count of simple burglary
Authorities confirmed that the case remains under active investigation.
