Colfax, LA (8/20/2024) – The Town of Colfax is currently experiencing frequent low to no-water pressure issues.
These issues have been caused by the aging and worn-out piping infrastructure. According to Mayor Garland Brossette and the Colfax Town Council, when a breach occurs in a mainline, the water storage system depletes quickly. This is due to having only one well supplying the storage tanks.
Following the repair of any breach, residents must wait for the water pressure to build up again. The town acknowledges the inconvenience and has been working diligently towards a solution. Recently, Colfax was awarded a grant for Water System Improvements, which aims to address these issues.
The Town of Colfax appreciates residents’ patience as service crews work adamantly to restore continuous water supply.
