Central Louisiana Heat Advisory Issued Amid High Temperatures (8/2/2024)

Central Louisiana is under a heat advisory starting today. The National Weather Service forecasts sunny and hot conditions with a high near 98°F. The heat index values are expected to reach up to 110°F. Residents should stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours.

Tonight, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms is expected between 10 PM and 1 AM, with a low around 78°F. The heat advisory continues into the weekend, with similar weather patterns. Saturday and Sunday will see temperatures near 98°F and 97°F, respectively, with high humidity making it feel even hotter.
