Alexandria, LA (06/17/2024) – On Sunday, June 16, 2024, at approximately 9:50 PM, the Alexandria Police Department (APD) responded to a shooting in the 2200 block of West Sycamore Street.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The press release did not disclose the victim’s condition or any potential motive for the crime.
This incident marks Alexandria’s third shooting on Father’s Day. APD has not confirmed whether this shooting is related to the previous shootings on Tennessee Street or Jackson and Thorn Street.
