Reserve, LA (6/2/2024) – The St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the tragic homicide of a 16-year-old girl that occurred in the early hours of Sunday, June 2nd.
The incident took place just after 2:00 am on Airline Highway near Central Avenue in Reserve.
The victim, identified as Aariah Henry of Reserve, was shot once and subsequently transported to St. James Hospital. Despite efforts by medical personnel, Henry succumbed to her injuries.
Based on witness statements and surveillance footage, detectives believe this to be a targeted attack. However, as of now, they have no leads regarding the perpetrator.
