Bunkie, LA (6/2/2024) – On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, officers from the Bunkie Police Department were dispatched to 510 South Mable Street in response to a report of a wanted fugitive at the residence.
Upon arrival, officers spotted the fugitive, Jonathan Taylor Lang, fleeing into the house.
As officers approached the residence, Lang ran into a shed located behind the property. Officers found Lang hiding next to a stove inside the shed. During the attempt to apprehend him, Lang resisted arrest and engaged in a struggle with two officers, injuring one of them. He then managed to escape on foot.
The injured officer received treatment at a local hospital and has since been released. Jonathan Lang remains at large and is wanted on several active felony warrants.
