Two Arrested for Church Burglary in Prospect

Prospect, LA (June 1, 2024) – The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with a recent burglary at a church in the Prospect community. Ricky Wise, Jr., 20, of Colfax, and Trenton Strong, 18, of Pineville, have been charged with four counts of burglary and four counts of criminal damage to property.

The investigation, which involved extensive community cooperation, led to the identification and apprehension of the suspects. Sheriff Steven McCain expressed gratitude to the public, stating, “These arrests were only made possible by the help of the public. Thank you for your willingness to help make our community safer.”

The burglary, which was initially reported on May 13, 2024, by Involvedinitall.com, involved significant vandalism at the church. The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office had released footage showing the perpetrators in the act and had urged citizens to assist in identifying the individuals responsible. The community responded promptly, providing crucial information that led to the swift arrests of Wise and Strong.
