Alexandria, LA (5/16/2024) – Holy Savior Menard High School proudly announces the signing of Malachi Tolbert, a distinguished member of the Class of 2024, with Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge to continue his pole-vaulting career while pursuing a major in Business Administration and Management.
Malachi has etched his name in the annals of the school’s athletic history, holding the indoor pole vaulting record at 12’ 7.5”, a feat he achieved this season at the state meet, clinching 3rd place. Additionally, he has clinched victories in both district and regional titles for outdoor pole vaulting.
With his commitment to Southern University, Malachi is poised to set new personal benchmarks while contributing to the team’s triumphs. “I’m thrilled to be a part of the Jaguars and to keep evolving as an athlete,” Malachi expressed. “I eagerly anticipate challenging myself and aiding the team in reaching new pinnacles.”
Malachi’s accomplishments underscore his dedication and the steadfast support from his family, friends, teammates, and coaches, Morgan and Stephanie. “Their unwavering encouragement and faith in me have been instrumental in my journey,” he acknowledged.
