Mamou, LA (7/30/2023) – The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) arrested a man for suspected sexual assault of a juvenile.
On July 12, 2023, Deputies with the EPSO responded to the 1900 Blk. of James Ortego Road about a report of a possible sexual assault involving a juvenile.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the suspect, Terry Lee Thomas, 57, of Mamou, approached a 14-year-old female and touched her inappropriately.
The suspect refused to cooperate with Law Enforcement. On July 26, 2023, he was arrested and charged with Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.
