Alexandria: Two juveniles arrested in an armed robbery on North Mall Drive

Alexandria, LA (7/29/2023) – Alexandria Police Department (APD) reported two juveniles were arrested in an armed robbery on North Mall Drive.

On Friday, July 28, 2023, APD was called to 2050 North Mall Drive about a robbery. Walmart Super Center and Murphy Oil Gas Station are located at the report address. Officers contacted the victim, who reported that two individuals robbed him at gunpoint. 

A 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested after a brief vehicle pursuit in Alexandria, LA.

The juvenile was charged with one count of Armed Robbery, one count of Aggravated Flight, and one count of Illegal Possession of a handgun by a juvenile. A second juvenile, a 16-year-old, was charged with one count of Armed Robbery and one count of Illegal Possession of a handgun by a juvenile.

The weapon used to commit the crime and some of the property taken during the robbery were recovered. 

This is currently an ongoing investigation.
