In May of 2023, the Rapides Parish School Board voted 7 to 2 to allow students to wear colors other than natural in their hair. Now the two Board members, Mark Dryden and Wilton Barrios,Jr., who voted against the measure, want the entire board to flip-flop on its decision before students return to school in the fall
Join us on Monday, July 17, 2023, and we will speak with Board Member Linda Burgess, who believes reverting to the old policy will take away from the focus on academics and the ability for the child to express themselves.
