Vidalia, LA (10/17/2023) – The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office reported a Vidalia man was arrested for pornography involving juveniles and obscenity.
On October 16, 2023, around 11:00 AM, CPSO began investigating a subject who was reportedly driving around, attempting to make contact with both juveniles and adult females for sexual purposes. Narcotics units spotted the vehicle parked in an open field off Westside Drive and contacted the occupant.
At that time, he was discovered to have multiple adult toys and what appeared to be children’s undergarments inside the vehicle. While on the scene, statements were also obtained from residents who had witnessed the subject expose himself to a group of juveniles while in the field. Upon being taken into custody, his cell phone device was seized, which was discovered to contain images of child sexual abuse material. He was booked into the CPSO jail Monday evening.
Eddie R. Campbell, 73, of Vidalia, Louisiana, was arrested and booked into the CPSO jail Monday evening. Campbell was charged with eight counts of pornography involving juveniles and one count of obscenity (victim under 17).
