Thibodaux, La. (5/23/2026) – A shooting outside a nightclub in Thibodaux left seven people injured late Sunday night. Authorities said the investigation remains active.
According to the Thibodaux Police Department, the shooting happened shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday near East 10th Street and Narrow Street.
Police confirmed that seven people suffered gunshot-related injuries during the incident. However, officials believe all injuries are non-life-threatening. Several other people also suffered injuries while fleeing the scene.
Meanwhile, detectives continue processing evidence and interviewing witnesses. Investigators are also following up on leads connected to the shooting.
Thibodaux Police Chief Bryan Zeringue said additional information will be released when possible without affecting the investigation.
Following the shooting, Lafourche Parish Councilman DeJae’ Antrell Broomfield released a statement addressing the violence.
“My heart is with everyone affected, those who were injured, their families, and all who witnessed this tragic event,” Broomfield said.
He also called for prayer, healing, and unity within the community while encouraging residents to cooperate with investigators.
