Theft of Commercial Zero Turn Mower Sparks Investigation

Woodworth, LA (May 6, 2024) – Authorities responded to a report of theft in the 10000 block of US 165 South near Woodworth on May 6, 2024, at approximately 11:20 AM. Deputies, upon arrival, were informed by the complainant that a John Deere Z970R 35hp 60-inch commercial zero turn mower had been stolen.

Initial investigations revealed that the suspect(s) gained access to the property by cutting a chain-linked fence. Once inside the enclosed fenced area, they made off with the mower and exited the premises through the compromised fence. Evidence found at the scene suggests that the theft occurred between 5:00 PM on May 3, 2024, and 7:00 AM on May 6, 2024.

Detectives from the Glenmora Substation have taken over the investigation and are seeking assistance from the public to identify the individual(s) responsible for the theft. Authorities are urging anyone who noticed any suspicious activity, particularly near the southbound lane of US 165 South on the south side of the Tall Timbers Conference Center during the specified hours, to come forward with any relevant information.
