Lake Charles, LA (6/3/2024) – In a thrilling display of athletic prowess and teamwork, Showtime United soared to victory in Lake Charles, in a tournament held at the McNeese University Recreational Complex. The team wrapped up the weekend with a flawless 4-0 record, securing their first-ever championship win in program history.
From the opening tip-off, Showtime United dominated the court. They kicked off the tournament with a commanding 62-42 victory against the Deridder Raptors, setting the tone for the games to follow. Their second match saw them edging out the LC Starz with a close 49-42 win. The semifinals were a rematch against the LC Starz, but this time, Showtime United pulled away with a decisive 53-35 victory.
The championship game was a nail-biter against Future Prospective. Showtime United showcased their resilience and strategic play, ultimately clinching the title with a 50-44 win. The team erupted in cheers as the final buzzer sounded, celebrating a historic moment for the program.
