Hackberry, LA (4/16/2023) – A shelter-in-place order has been issued for the residents of Hackberry.
During the weather event last night, two petroleum crude oil tanks located near Sutton Circle were ignited by lighting as the storm passed through the area.
As a precaution, all residents and businesses located within a mile south of the Sutton Circle are asked to stay indoors until further notice due to the direction of the smoke plume. (See pictures above)
Fire crews will be working to extinguish the fire.
