COTILE AREA, La. (2/17/2025) – The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office reports a drug-related arrest in the Cotile area following an investigation by the Rapides Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) Unit. The sheriff’s office posted the press release on its Facebook page on February 14, 2025.
Agents began investigating suspected narcotics activity in the Cotile Lake community after receiving community complaints in early February. During the investigation, authorities identified Justin Glenn Bennett, 32, of Boyce, as a suspect. Deputies discovered Bennett had outstanding warrants for contempt of court related to previous drug charges.
On February 12, 2025, deputies assigned to the RADE Warrants Section located Bennett at a residence on LA Highway 121 in Boyce. RADE agents assisted in the arrest, and Bennett was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center and booked on the outstanding warrants.
Bennett remains in jail on a $350,000 bond. The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office reports a drug-related arrest as part of ongoing efforts by the RADE Unit to address narcotics activity in Central Louisiana.
