Rapides man wanted by Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office; fled with handcuffs on

Natchitoches, La. – Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office (NPSO) Deputies are asking for the public’s help while they continue to look for a Rapides Parish man that fled from them during a domestic abuse investigation on Sunday.

Deputies are looking for 25-year-old Bailey D. Goodman, white male, Height 5’9″, Weight 198 pounds, light brown hair, and hazel eyes from the Flatwoods area in Rapides Parish.

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office wants Goodman on outstanding criminal arrest warrants signed by a 10th Judicial District Court Judge for Domestic Abuse Battery, Possession of CDS Schedule II Methamphetamine, Simple Escape, and 2-Counts of Resisting an Arrest.

On Sunday evening, November 20, 2022, at approximately 6:36 pm, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Lateral Lane near Natchitoches, La.

Deputies say upon their arrival; they learned Goodman allegedly committed battery on a dating partner.  Goodman was reportedly hiding in a vehicle parked in the yard. Deputies located Goodman and assisted him out of the vehicle, placing him under arrest for domestic abuse battery.

During a search of his person incidental to his arrest, deputies discovered suspected methamphetamine on his person.

While walking and attempting to place Goodman in the rear of a patrol unit, he jerked away from a deputy, fleeing into some nearby woods.

Deputies summoned the Winn Parish K-9 Tracking Team assistance to assist in a search.

During the search, deputies discovered Goodman while handcuffed behind his back apparently succeeded in removing his pants and boots and then rolled in mud to cover his body.

Several NPSO and NPD Units, assisted by the K-9 Tracking Team, searched for Goodman until shortly after midnight but were unable to locate him. The victim was issued a La. Victim & Registration Form. Goodman has ties to the Many, and Shreveport areas.
