Parents Arrested for Sexual Abuse of Their Daughter in Sabine Parish

Many, LA (April 29, 2024) — Sheriff Aaron Mitchell of Sabine Parish reports the arrests of Justin Lane Parrie, 43, and his wife Catherine Hippler Parrie, 34, both residents of Many, on charges of sexual abuse involving their own daughter.

Justin stands accused of sexually abusing his now 14-year-old daughter through vaginal and oral intercourse when she was just 12 and 13 years old. Disturbingly, the abuse is reported to have begun in February 2023 when the victim was only 12 years old, according to the child’s testimony.

Adding to the gravity of the situation, the child’s mother, Catherine, allegedly knew about the sexual abuse and actively discouraged her daughter from reporting it to anyone. Louisiana state law mandates that individuals with knowledge of rape or sexual abuse of a child must report it to law enforcement agencies.

On April 10th, Justin was apprehended and booked into the Sabine Parish Detention Center on charges of First Degree Rape of a Juvenile under age 13 and Molestation of a Juvenile under age 13. His bond was set at $500,000, and he remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.

Subsequently, on April 25th, Catherine was also taken into custody and booked into the Sabine Parish Women’s Jail. She faces charges of Accessory After the Fact of First Degree Rape of a Juvenile under age 13, Principle to Molestation of a Juvenile under age 13, and Failure to report the commission of certain felonies. At the time of her arrest, Catherine’s bond had not yet been determined.

It’s essential to remember that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and the legal process will determine the final outcome of this disturbing case.
