New Orleans, LA (5/12/2024) – A violent incident unfolded Saturday night in the Lower Ninth Ward, leaving three men injured in a triple shooting, according to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD).
Details surrounding the victims’ identities, ages, and conditions remain undisclosed by NOPD, and the circumstances leading to the gunfire have not been described.
The shooting occurred around 10:40 p.m. in the 1000 block of Lizardi Street, as confirmed by an NOPD spokesperson.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered one adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Subsequently, two additional adult males arrived at a nearby hospital seeking medical treatment for injuries sustained in the same shooting incident, NOPD reported.
