Man Injured in Alexandria Shooting Incident

Alexandria, LA (04/21/2024) — On Saturday, April 20, 2024, at approximately 10:15 PM, the Alexandria Police Department (APD) swiftly responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of Douglas Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered one individual who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was attended to by emergency medical personnel and transported for further medical treatment.

At present, the Alexandria Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Despite their efforts, no suspect or suspects have been identified thus far.

Authorities are urging anyone with information pertaining to this incident or any other criminal activity in the Alexandria area to come forward.
