Alexandria, LA (10/2/2024) – An inmate transferred to Grant Parish escaped custody today at approximately 11:05 a.m. while being escorted by a deputy.
Juliana Elizabeth Alexander, a 27-year-old from the Deville community, was one of three female inmates being transferred from Rapides Parish to face pending charges in Grant Parish.
While the deputy escorted the three inmates down a stairwell, Alexander managed to flee. At the time of her escape, she was wearing a red jumpsuit and handcuffs. The outstanding warrant for her arrest was for failing to appear for trial, specifically related to unauthorized use of a movable.
Authorities from both Rapides and Grant Parish are actively searching for Alexander. They urge anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office immediately.
