FOREST HILL, La. (UrbanCast: 7/20/2026) — Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a convenience store burglary in Forest Hill that may be connected to a similar break-in in Lecompte.
A patrol deputy discovered the burglary while conducting routine building checks around 6 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2026. The business is located in the 3900 block of Louisiana Highway 112.
According to investigators, the suspects forced their way through the store’s front door before locating the business’s ATM. They then broke into the ATM and stole an undetermined amount of cash. So far, investigators have not reported any other items missing.
Sheriff’s detectives and the Crime Scene Unit responded to process the scene, collect evidence, and begin the investigation.
Later Monday, detectives released surveillance photos of the suspects after completing their evidence processing. Investigators also announced they are assisting the Lecompte Police Department with a convenience store burglary in its jurisdiction.
At this time, detectives believe the same suspects are responsible for both burglaries.
