Burglary at Tioga Body Shop: Public Assistance Requested

Tioga, LA (6/26/2024) – On Monday, June 24, 2024, deputies responded to a reported burglary at a local body shop in the Tioga area. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that several thousand dollars’ worth of equipment and tools had been stolen from the business.

Sheriff’s Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit were called to the scene to conduct an investigation. Surveillance footage from the business revealed a white male suspect entering the premises and walking across the lot. The suspect then broke into the office and obtained keys to a vehicle that was being worked on.

Investigators determined that the suspect loaded a truck with the stolen items and transported them to another location. In addition to the stolen equipment, the suspect also stole a 2019 Hyundai Elantra SE, silver in color.

Sheriff’s Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect involved in this crime. The stolen vehicle has been entered into the national database (NCIC).
