Baton Rouge man wanted in connection with the death of his son; fentanyl overdose

Baton Rouge, LA (12/12/2022) – Baton Rouge Police Department Homicide Detectives have issued an arrest warrant for CHARLES LEE, 28, for his involvement in the death of his son, Jahrei Paul, 1. Lee is wanted for Negligent Homicide and 2nd Degree Cruelty to Juveniles.

Baton Rouge Police Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of JAHREI PAUL, which occurred on October 31, 2022. Paul was taken to a local hospital emergency room by a family member, where he was pronounced deceased.

An autopsy was later performed by the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office that ruled Paul’s cause of death to be a fentanyl overdose.

This is an ongoing investigation.
